Our team will respond to your inquiry within 1-2 business days. The response will provide a specific date for collection that is within the next two weeks. Depending on the specifics of the collection and your service location, this date may or may not align with your standard bucket service. 

Based on the information you provide, our team will provide you with an estimated cost for collection. The size and quantity of the pumpkins, your service location, and whether or not the collection can occur during your regular bucket service will factor into the cost. You can expect the total cost to be between $10-$25 for most special pickups.  

Measure the diameter of your pumpkin and consult the sizing guide above to determine what size to order. Use this diameter as the definitive measurement to make your selection.

You can order an extra bucket to be delivered with your next service. 

Add one collection to your cart for EACH pumpkin you would like to be collected. A maximum of three (3) total pumpkins can be collected per service day. 

If you need more than three (3) pumpkins collected, you have one of two options: 

1. If you don’t need all of them collected on the same day, you can place multiple orders and have your pumpkins collected on different service days
2. If you need all of them collected on the same day, you can fill out this form for special pickups of more than three pumpkins. 

We can collect a maximum of three (3) medium or large pumpkins per service. If you need more than three (3) pumpkins collected, you have one of two options:

Prior to your service day, place an order for pumpkin collection. On your service day, place the pumpkin(s) you want collected directly next to or on top of your bucket. Putting them directly on or near your bucket will help our operator identify which pumpkin(s) to collect. 

The pumpkins will be collected on the service day immediately following order placement. Make sure to place your order by 8am the business day before your service.  

Yes. 

No, the yard waste bags are not meant for dense and very watery organic material. The weight of the pumpkins can tear the bag and make it difficult for our operators to complete the collection service. If pumpkins are found inside a Yard Waste Collection bag, WasteNot may charge for a Pumpkin Collection in addition to your yard waste and in some cases may not be able to collect the bag. 

Currently, all residential WasteNot members who receive either weekly or bi-weekly compost collection in the Chicagoland area are eligible for this service. We are not able to collect Pumpkins from non-members at this time.
